Dropped by @waterstones this weekend and picked up the last copy of the new #secretbarrister book in store, straight out of the window display. The yellow fore-edge pages are extremely eye-catching and there was the nice surprise of a signature inside too!

The first Secret Barrister book I can only describe as eye-opening, shocking, and slightly terrifying! With a dramatically underfunded Crown Prosecution Service, unqualified magistrates who can mandate prison sentences, and the potential for false imprisonment for which you won't be compensated, we may not have to wait for the country to decline into an Orwellian dystopia as we could already be there.

I picked up the new book, not just because I’m a glutton for punishment πŸ˜‚, but because it’s a fascinating subject that more people should be educated about, myself included. At school, my education about the legal system was minimal, to say the least, and this is something I wish I’d been taught and feel everyone should read up on. Looking forward to learning more about the harsh realities of our legal system!
