So I haven't posted in a while because I've just found it so hard to get into any of the unread books I have piled up. So naturally I went to WHSmiths and bought some more including this gem of a book and I'm so glad I did!

This is the perfect feel-good winter read! It's the equivalent of a cosy hug on a bitter cold day! I finished this in a day!

Summary: Harriet has always been shy and reserved and led life sheltered by her confident and protective twin and older brother. But after her twin Fliss moves out of their apartment and in with her fiancรฉ, Harriet is determined to not regret living life in her comfort zone and decides to implement โ€˜Challenge Harrietโ€™. Everyday for the month leading up to Christmas Harriet aims do at least one thing that makes her uncomfortable. Then a chance encounter with Dr Ethan Black really starts to test her.

I loved how believable and realistic the characters and their development were. It was so cute without being cheesy and I didnโ€™t roll my eyes once! I especially loved how Harriet and her twin sister Fliss actually get along and are really close despite being opposites in personality.

Also Ethan was actually perfect! He was funny but kind with endless patience and an A&E Doctor too! I haven't had a book crush in the longest time so thank you Sarah!

I could definitely see this becoming a film so fingers crossed!๐Ÿคž๐Ÿฝ So if you need a great girly read that makes you smile and not want to put it down then this is it! My two sisters have already read this twice each just in the last week! Looking forward to reading the first five books in her From Manhattan with Love series!

Iโ€™ve always loved reading as a kid because it was one of the few Asian-mum approved hobbies although she would have preferred โ€˜less novels and more school booksโ€™! I also grew up in the Harry Potter era so thatโ€™s when I really remember falling in love with reading. (Big up my Y7 English teacher for reading a few pages of Philosophers stone at the end of every lesson! You were a real one Mr Williams!) I love being part of this book page (even though I slack massively due to lack of energy and concentration!) because sometimes it felt like a lifeline to help keep me sane. We started it during the time I was feeling really shitty about my Crohnโ€™s disease. Itโ€™s been a tough 7 years and the last 3 have probably been the hardest especially mentally so when Linda suggested putting this page together, without hesitation I was down and Iโ€™m so proud of us! Writing reviews helped me to organise my thoughts and even resulted in me creating a second Instagram page (@AnOstomateForLife) about my Crohnโ€™s journey. Yes that was a shameless plug and Iโ€™m not sorry! Along with reviews, Iโ€™ve also loved the creative side of things such as having input in our logo, creating our bookmark and taking book pictures even though itโ€™s awkward af in public! So a few of my fave books: The Godfather by Mario Puzo (made me love the film even more! Iโ€™m a self-proclaimed movie buff too btw), Autobiography of Malcolm X by Malcolm X and Alex Healy, The Harry Potter series (obviously), Jemima J by Jane Green, Moonlight over Manhattan by Sarah Morgan, Whereโ€™d You Go Bernadette by Maria Semple and We Should All Be Feminists Chimamanda Adichie.
