Keaton Henson is most famously a musician before anything else but he is also a poet and artist. This book, Idiot Verse, is a collection of his poetry which is described as being โstories of lost love, touring, reclusion and new found renownโ. Honestly, itโs just beautiful- it really is hard to describe it in any other way. From listening to his music, I had expectations for his poetry but this book really exceeds that. He is just so clever and careful with his words and I donโt understand how he does it but it comes together beautifully. My personal favourite is either โGrow up with meโ or โInsomniaโ. Keaton himself doesnโt really do much press in that he doesnโt do interviews nor does he tour much because of his social anxiety but the best way to get to know him is through his poetry and music. On the whole, it is a pretty amazing book and if you enjoy his music I wholeheartedly recommend giving his poetry a read.
