Join The Candid Book Club at Waterstones Piccadilly for an evening with Krystle Zara Appiah, to discuss her novel Rootless. An at-once tender and heartbreaking meditation on freedom, motherhood and obligation, Rootless explores the limits of love and friendship through a story of a British-Ghanaian marriage in crisis.
Krystle Zara Appiah is a British-Ghanaian writer, editor, and screenwriter, born and raised in London. She has a degree in literature and creative writing from the University of Kent. She was one of forty writers selected for the London Library’s Emerging Writers Programme. Rootless is her debut novel.
We encourage attendees to read the book beforehand to allow for an open discussion on the night, but hardback copies of the book will also be available to purchase online via the Book & Ticket bundle – to be collected at the event.
